So before I could really think about what she was doing Miss Camden decided to journey of off her poster paper and onto her little body with her paint. In some ways it is a drastic improvement.
When I first introduced painting to her (fingerpaints, to be exact) she cried at the notion of touching it. With lots of coaxing and helping later she appears to prefer body painting. Not a big deal really, throw them in the tub and cleanup is simple enough. Until I stopped and remembered that her Crayola paint was chockfull of dyes. Argh! So as I’m sitting there snapping cute pictures of her paint exploration I’m nervously wondering if I should be that awful parent that halts creativity and curbs her curiosity. All I can see is hives and crazy behavior.
I decide to wait it out. She’s only been body painting for 2.5 minutes and I can toss her in the tub as soon as she’s done. Besides, in hives bath she was in there for over an hour and the warm water helped to open her pores. At 4.5 minutes Camden is done painting anyway. I whisk her away to the tub and hose her off and then let her enjoy a bath. And I am happy to report she never had any hives. Phew.
Now time to invest in some of this:
Whoa! Cough. Cough. Okay, trying not to choke on my own shock here. A 26oz bottle is $56.95. Hmm, at that price maybe we’ll make some dye free paint or something. Aye aye aye.
Now for the cute pics:

What cute pictures! I have very similar pics of my daughter covered in green paint when she was 2 or 3 years old! I should dig them up.
